Mutashim Mohsin acts as the Data Controller for the information collected through SmoothLedger.

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture (facilitated securely via Clerk).
  • Document & CRM Data: If you use our cloud-save features, we securely store the data you input into your invoices, payslips, and quotes (such as client names, business addresses, tax IDs, and financial amounts) to allow you to access and edit them across devices.
  • Payment Information: If you upgrade to SmoothLedger Pro, your payment details are processed directly by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. We do not store or process your credit card information on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data strictly to provide and improve the SmoothLedger service. This includes:

  • Saving your documents so you can edit them later.
  • Sending documents directly to your clients via our email integration.
  • Providing customer support and responding to your inquiries.

We will never sell your personal or client data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to ensure SmoothLedger runs securely and reliably. These include:

  • Clerk: For secure user authentication and login.
  • Paddle: As our Merchant of Record to handle secure subscription billing.
  • Vercel: For hosting and basic, anonymous website analytics.

5. Unregistered Users (Free Tier)

If you use our tools without logging in, your document data is stored locally in your browser's Local Storage. We do not have access to this data, and clearing your browser cache will permanently delete it.

6. Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Simply contact our support team, and we will permanently erase your CRM records, uploaded logos, and document history from our active databases.
