Refund Policy

Clear and transparent guidelines regarding subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds for SmoothLedger Pro.

Last updated: May 21, 2026

1. Subscriptions and Cancellations

Billing cycles

SmoothLedger Pro is billed on a recurring basis — monthly or annually. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account billing dashboard.

What happens when you cancel

Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged for the next cycle, and you will continue to have full access to all Pro features until the period closes.

2. 14-Day Refund Window

Initial purchase

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. In compliance with consumer protection laws and Paddle's standards, we offer a 14-day refund window on your initial purchase.

If you are not satisfied with SmoothLedger Pro for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase date. Refunds will not be issued where there is evidence of fraud or refund abuse. If a refund is approved, your access to SmoothLedger Pro will cease immediately.

Annual subscription auto-renewals (UK customers)

If you are a UK customer on an annual plan, you have a fresh 14-day right to withdraw each time your subscription automatically renews for another year, beginning on the renewal date. To exercise this right, contact support within 14 days of the renewal charge.

After a free trial ends (EU / EEA / UK customers)

If your plan included a free trial, a new 14-day withdrawal window opens automatically the moment the trial period expires. You may request a full refund within those 14 days.

3. After the 14-Day Period

General rule

Beyond the initial 14-day window, payments are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partially used billing periods or forgotten cancellations. It is your responsibility to manage your subscription and cancel before your renewal date if you no longer wish to use the service.

Technical defects and product failures

If you experience a persistent technical issue or a material defect that prevents you from accessing the features or benefits as described — even after the 14-day window — please contact us at support@smoothledger.com. Where a genuine defect is confirmed, we will work with Paddle to issue a refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

4. Merchant of Record

All orders are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all payment processing and manages approved refunds. Paddle's own Buyer Terms and Conditions apply alongside this policy, and where local consumer protection laws grant you additional rights, the highest level of protection always applies.

5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a billing concern, please contact us at support@smoothledger.com or submit a request through paddle.net before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. This almost always leads to faster resolution. If a chargeback is initiated, access to SmoothLedger Pro may be suspended while the matter is reviewed by Paddle.

6. How to Request a Refund

Within the 14-day window

Use the "View receipt" or "Manage subscription" link in your purchase confirmation email, or visit paddle.net and select "Request refund". Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method within 14 days.

Billing errors or disputes

If you believe you have been charged in error, contact our support team immediately at support@smoothledger.com so we can investigate and escalate to Paddle where needed.
